Food Vendor Information for NWPA Pride Alliance's 2024 Pride on the Bay

Event Details:

Join us as a food vendor at the Highmark Amphitheatre at Liberty Park, Erie, for Pride on the Bay on Saturday, June 29, starting at 12pm. This year's event is set to be extraordinary, thanks to our relocation to a larger, more secure venue and the addition of a NATIONAL headliner. We anticipate welcoming between 6,000 and 7,000 attendees. Unlike in years past where downtown restaurants were readily accessible, this year's festival will be almost completely reliant on our food vendors in the park.

Vendor Spot Allocation:

  • Limited to TEN (10) vendors to ensure variety.
  • ONE vendor per food type (e.g., one BBQ, one pizza) for diversity.
  • Each vendor gets a 15' frontage spot.
  • Electricity hookups provided as available.
  • NO alcohol sales permitted; The Erie-Western PA Port Authority has sole discretion over alcohol sales.
  • All interested vendors will be presented to the Board for final approval.
  • Once approved, the chosen vendors will be invoiced for $150. This is a NON-REFUNDABLE registration fee.

Operational Guidelines:

  • Event is rain or shine, with no refunds for weather cancellations.
  • ANNUAL license required; no one-day licenses. License copy must be submitted before the event.
  • Vendors allowed ONE truck/unit and ONE additional vehicle. NO VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER ONCE THE GATES OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. All other vehicles will be directed to use the parking lots outside of the gates.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Adherence to Erie County Health Department Food Serving regulations is mandatory.
  • Use recyclable, compostable, or disposable containers (no polystyrene/Styrofoam).
  • Vendor shall comply with all laws, rules, regulations, and orders of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Erie County, now in effect or later enacted, adopted, or promulgated. The vendor shall have knowledge of all relevant laws, rules, regulations and orders.
  • No use of bells, horns, loudspeakers, or any noise-making devices for advertising.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food service area in line with federal, state, and local laws. Avoid excessive or offensive amounts smoke, odor, or noise.

Waste Management:

Dumpsters provided. No grey water and oil disposal facilities available.

Event Timing:

The festival is tentatively set to run from 12pm to 6pm. Final plans will be communicated by our coordinator as they become available (including set-up/access times).

Insurance Requirement:

Each vendor shall obtain and maintain in full force and effect during the event Comprehensive General Liability insurance. NWPA Pride Alliance, Inc. and Erie-Western PA Port Authority need to BOTH be named as additionally insured in an amount not less than $100,000.
