Join us as we fill the streets of Erie with joy and pride! The annual Erie Pride Parade is a powerful display of visibility and solidarity for the LGBTQIA+ community and our allies.
Parade Participation
The Erie Pride Parade is a powerful and joyful expression of our community, and we invite you to be a part of it! Whether you're representing an organization, a student group, a local business, or simply marching as an individual, your presence adds to the incredible tapestry of pride and visibility.
Who Can Participate:
We enthusiastically welcome a diverse array of participants:

Community Groups & Non-Profit Organizations: Showcase your mission and support for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Businesses: Demonstrate your commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Student Groups: Represent your school or university's pride initiatives.

Individuals & Families: Everyone is welcome to march as a proud ally or member of the LGBTQIA+ community!

Important Details:

Registration Deadline: To ensure a smooth and organized parade, please complete your registration by June 22nd, 2025. Late registrations may not be accepted.

Registration Requirements: Larger groups, including businesses, non-profits, and community organizations, **must register in advance**. This helps us with parade staging and ensures everyone has a great experience. Individuals and smaller groups are highly encouraged to register online as well, but can always join us at the end of the line on parade day if they don't get a chance to sign up beforehand.

Participation Fee: Participation is free for all!
Staging Information:
Get ready to assemble and prepare for the grand march!

Staging Time for Participants: 11:00 AM. Please arrive promptly to allow ample time for organization.

Assembly Area: Registered groups will be assigned a specific staging order and assembly location along State Street, between 11th Street and 12th Street. Look for volunteers in bright blue STAFF shirts who will direct you to your designated spot.

Participant Drop-off: For the safety and ease of participants, a designated drop-off zone will be available on 11th Street between State and Peach. Please note that traffic will be restricted in the immediate staging area.

Parking for Participants: Limited street parking may be available in surrounding areas.
Parade Rules & Guidelines:
To ensure a safe, respectful, and spectacular parade for everyone, we kindly ask all participants to adhere to the following guidelines:

Stay Together: Please remain with your registered group and maintain a consistent pace throughout the parade route.

No Throwing: For the safety of spectators and other participants, please do not throw candy, flyers, or any other items into the crowd. Handing out items gently to individuals at the curb is permissible.

Respect Boundaries: Please stay within the designated parade route and behind any barriers. Do not interact physically with spectators. Especially any haters or protester we might get.

Inclusive & Respectful Behavior: The Erie Pride Parade is a celebration of diversity. We expect all participants to embody kindness, respect, and inclusivity towards fellow marchers, volunteers, and spectators. Discriminatory language or behavior will not be tolerated.

Decorate with Pride! We encourage creative and vibrant decorations on floats, banners, and attire. Let your unique identity and the spirit of Pride shine through!

Safety First: Hydrate regularly, especially on warm days. If you need assistance, please alert a parade volunteer or medical personnel immediately.

No Open Flames or Pyrotechnics: For safety reasons, these are strictly prohibited.

Parade Route
The parade kicks off from the intersection of 11th Street and State Street, marching north on State Street and concluding at Perry Square.
Good viewing spots along State Street include:

The sidewalks along the entire length of State Street.

Perry Square offers a fantastic viewing area for the parade's conclusion.

Consider arriving early to secure a prime viewing location!

What to Bring
To make your spectating experience more enjoyable, we suggest bringing:

Comfortable folding chairs or blankets.

Plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Sunscreen and a hat for sun protection.

Your pride flags and signs to show your support!

A camera or phone to capture the memories.
Respectful Viewing
We encourage you to cheer loudly and enthusiastically for all our participants!
